Maria Valdmaa soprano

Estonian soprano Maria Valdmaa began her classical singing studies in Tallinn Georg Ots' Music School. Interest in baroque repertoire brought her to the Netherlands. In 2010 she graduated with bachelor's degree in early music singing from The Royal Conservatory of The Hague and is continuing there her master studies under the guidance of Barbara Pearson, Jill Feldman, Michael Chance and Peter Kooij. She has followed master classes by Jill Feldman, Evely Tubb and Jos van Veldhoven in baroque music interpretation and Eric Mentzel and Enseble Sequentia in medieval music performance. Her specialist repertoire includes the works of J. S. Bach and W. A. Mozart but she has also performed extensively in the field of medieval music. Maria Valdmaa has worked with Atheneum Kamerorkest, ASKO/Schoenberg Ensemble, Ensemble L'Arpeggiata, Vox Luminis and De Nederlandse Bachvereniging. Currently she is working with Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir.
