Nicole Fiselier soprano

The lyrical coloratura soprano Nicole Fiselier studied classical singing under tuition of Roberta Alexander at Codarts Rotterdam. Currently she is receiving coaching from soprano Marjan Kuiper and pianist Peter Nilsson. Always interested in different input she took a wide variety of masterclasses with teachers such as Nicholas Clapton, Margreet Honig, Emma Kirkby and Jard van Nes. In 2012 she was invited by the IVC to join the International Belcanto Summer school with masters Luca Gorla, William Matteuzzi, Nelly Miricioiu and David Parry. Nicole’s musical interests range from early to contemporary music. This results into a diverse concert practice. She has performed in opera’s like ‘La Cenerentola’ (Residents Artist Program, Nationale Reisopera), ‘Bastien und Bastienne’ (Opera aan Zee), oratorio’s like a staged Matthew Passion, but also contemporary pieces like ‘The day is gone’ by Chiel Meyering (soli/Ribattuta Ensemble) and Jan Hagens’/René Uijlenhoets’ ‘Multi Media Vespers’ (Muziektheater Hollands Diep). Nicole performed soli under the baton of Gijs Leenaars, Hein Meens, Danny Nooteboom, Leo Rijkaart, Barend Schuurman, Jos Vermunt amongst others. With pianist Cathelijne Noorland. She has founded Duo Ruby in 2010 and they have been performing several lied and operaprograms. Nicole performs yearly at the festivals Opéra dans la Rue (Aix-en-Provence), Opera aan de Schie and Rotterdamse Operadagen. Upcoming new repertoire during 2013: Messiah, Johannes Passion, Krönungsmesse, Schöpfung and title role in the newly written opera 'Dora' by René Veen, a Schatkamer Opera production.
